Chapters

In 1949, Burlington established its first chapter with 8 members. Now, in 2013, we have a membership of 150 in eleven chapters, ranging in age from mid-20’s on up to senior citizens. Sorority means different things to different people and if you ask one her reason for her continued membership it is likely to include lifelong friendships, community service and social events.

In 1969, Burlington’s City Council was established. The function of the City Council is to act as a coordinating committee between the chapters.  The council coordinates one major service project each year with the cooperation of all chapters. For the last 16 years the focus of our fundraising efforts has been The Carpenter Hospice, for which we have raised in excess of $45,000.
